Canadians for an Inclusive Canada (CIC) considers recent changes to Canadian immigration policy as being inequitable and unjust. Measures such as the recently passed Citizenship Act, the amendments to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the proposed changes to the Live-in Caregiver Program, and the establishment of more restrictions for refugees and for immigrant families weaken the meaning of Canadian citizenship.
We believe in a Canada where all people, regardless of culture, country-of-origin, race, and religion, can immigrate and co-exist. We believe in a Canada where decision-making is democratic and transparent, where leaders make decisions by having open consultations with diverse stakeholders, and where a politics of fairness and not a politics of fear, takes place.
We are Canadians for an Inclusive Canada.
